Japanese udon noodles
Udon is one of the most popular type of noodles in Japan. It's pretty simple and dietary dish- only three ingredients are used for preparation: salt, water and wheat flour. Noodles of that type is rather thick (up to 4 mm in diameter) and the most often it is served with bouillon ,which is similar to soup.
However it is tasty when simply boiled with various additives:

  • fish and seafood;
  • vegetables;
  • chicken;
  • meat.

In Japan udon is traditionally decorated with finely chopped green onions and tempura (mostly shrimp) and served with mirin or soy sauce. Mirim is a sweet japanese cooking wine,which is made from rice. Primarily it is used as a sauce.
